Indiana Delays Tax Deadlines In Response To COVID-19

By David Hansen · 2020-03-19 17:49:53 -0400

Indiana will delay state income tax filing and payment deadlines from April 15 to July 15 in response to the novel coronavirus pandemic, the governor announced Thursday.

In addition to the income tax deadline extension, the state will also waive penalties for 60 days on property taxes paid after May 11, Republican Gov. Eric Holcomb said in a statement.

"Every day we learn more about how to tackle this monster," Holcomb said. "We are being thoughtful about how to approach every action we are taking in this national public health emergency and putting Hoosiers' health and safety first."
