RI Tax Division Postpones Hearings Due To COVID-19

The Rhode Island Department of Revenue's Division of Taxation has postponed and rescheduled administrative hearings in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the division has announced.

In a notice issued Monday, the division said preliminary reviews scheduled on or before June 1 would need to be rescheduled by contacting the division. Administrative hearings have been postponed until after May 25.

Attorneys assigned to prehearing and status conferences will reach out directly to reschedule or make plans for conferences to take place over the phone, the notice said, citing the global spread of the novel coronavirus, which causes COVID-19.
