RI Truck-Only Tolling Begins Despite Threat of Lawsuit

Despite the threat of lawsuits, two toll stations in Rhode Island began collecting fees from trucks only Monday, marking the first step in a plan that will ultimately include 12 more locations over the next 18 months.

According to the Rhode Island Department of Transportation, starting Monday, two electronic tolling gantries along Interstate 95 in the towns of Hopkinton and Exeter will charge $3.25 and $3.50, respectively.
