Hawaii's Maui County on Monday urged the U.S. Supreme Court to review the Ninth Circuit's ruling that made wastewater injections whose pollution reaches navigable U.S. waters via groundwater subject to Clean Water Act permitting requirements, saying the ruling would wrongly expand permitting to cover millions of previously unregulated pollution sources.
