First Professionals Insurance Co. must turn over information about how and why it settled a medical malpractice suit that triggered its $2 million legal malpractice suit against Owen Gleaton Egan Jones & Sweeney LLP after a federal judge said Monday the insurer had waived its privilege.

Owen Gleaton Egan Jones & Sweeney LLP on Tuesday asked a federal judge to force First Professionals Insurance Co. to turn over information about how and why it settled a medical malpractice suit that triggered the insurer's own $2 million legal malpractice suit against the firm.
