An insurer dropped its dispute with a construction company over coverage for an underlying suit filed by the widow of a worker killed on the job, telling a Tennessee federal court it has agreed in mediation to provide coverage for the woman's workers' compensation claim.

A workers' compensation insurer has asked a Tennessee federal court to find that it does not have to cover a construction company that is being sued by the widow of a worker who was killed on the job because the company failed to inform it of work being done in another state.
