Former President Donald Trump was indicted Tuesday by a Washington, D.C., federal grand jury on conspiracy and obstruction charges for allegedly seeking to overturn the 2020 presidential election by knowingly spreading false claims that it was fraudulent and attempting to pressure state and federal officials into changing the results.
