The Connecticut Department of Revenue Services said it will grant an automatic extension of state filing deadlines for certain annual state tax returns and payments as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The extensions are effective immediately, according to an announcement Sunday made as part of an emergency declaration signed by Gov. Ned Lamont, a Democrat.

The tax return for the Connecticut pass-though entity tax has been extended to April 15 and the payment deadline to June 15, the statement said. The filing of the return for the Connecticut unrelated business income tax and the payment deadline have been moved to June 15. The Connecticut corporation business return filing date and the payment deadline have moved to June 15, Lamont's office said.
