Deals Rumor Mill: Siemens, Bombardier, ConAgra, Huntsman

By Linda Chiem (July 29, 2015, 6:57 PM EDT) -- German industrial conglomerate Siemens AG has held early talks on potentially merging its rail unit with Canadian aerospace and transportation giant Bombardier Inc.'s train business, The Wall Street Journal reported Wednesday. However, Bombardier on Wednesday shot down the report of any formal talks with Siemens, insisting that it is still following through with its recently announced plans to unload part of its stake in its train-manufacturing business in an initial public offering in Frankfurt later this year. Siemens and Bombardier already are two of the world's largest train makers and the rumored talks of a tie-up between them come months after Siemens itself stamped out reports that it was combining its rail assets with those of French giant Alstom SA in a joint venture, according to a Reuters report....
