Law360, New York (June 05, 2009, 12:00 AM ET) -- A U.S. appellate court has reportedly approved the sale of Chrysler LLC to Italian car maker Fiat SpA, but the court will block the deal until Monday afternoon to give a group of Indiana pension funds time to appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court.
On Friday, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit approved the transaction, the Associated Press reported, but delayed it until 4 p.m. Monday so the nation's high court could consider objections from the pension funds.
