W.Va. High Court Declines To Revisit Massey Ruling

Law360, New York (March 11, 2010, 6:26 PM ET) -- The West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals said Thursday that it won't review its November decision to toss a $50 million verdict against Massey Energy Co. in a long-running coal contract dispute, despite requests from embattled mining company owner Hugh Caperton.

In a brief order issued Thursday, the Supreme Court of Appeals declined a December request by Caperton to review its ruling to overturn the hefty verdict.
