Plaintiffs Take MEMC Securities Suit To 8th Circ.

Law360, New York (April 01, 2010, 6:53 PM ET) -- Plaintiffs have appealed the dismissal of a proposed class action that accused solar cell maker MEMC Electronic Materials Inc. of violating securities laws when it delayed disclosing production problems, including a fire, at two factories in Texas and Italy.

Mahendra A. Patel, lead plaintiff for the class, lodged a notice of appeal Wednesday that moves the case from the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.
