Novell Appeals Tossed Microsoft Antitrust Claims

Law360, New York (April 23, 2010, 6:47 PM ET) -- Novell Inc. is appealing a federal judge's dismissal of an antitrust case it brought against software giant Microsoft Corp. challenging the dominance of Microsoft's Windows operating system and many of its software tools.

The company said in a court notice Friday that it was appealing the decision to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, hoping to overturn a March decision in multidistrict litigation pending in U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland.
