Nigerians Cry Foul Over Chevron Win In Standoff Trial

Law360, New York (June 14, 2010, 5:28 PM ET) -- A group of Nigerians that sued Chevron Corp. in connection with a fatal standoff over jobs on one of its oil platforms is asking a federal appeals court to grant a new trial, arguing that a lower court committed prejudicial errors in instructing a jury that found the oil giant not liable for the incident.
