9th Circ. Allows Calif. To Enforce Carbon Fuel Standard

Law360, New York (April 23, 2012, 10:51 PM ET) -- The Ninth Circuit on Monday temporarily lifted an injunction preventing the enforcement of California’s Low Carbon Fuel Standard, which the state implemented in April 2010 to substantially reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 2020.

A three-judge panel granted a bid by the California Environmental Agency’s Air Resources Board to stay a California federal court's Dec. 29 decision preventing the board from enforcing the regulation while the case against the rule was ongoing.
