Law360, New York (May 15, 2012, 8:47 PM ET) -- The city council of Harrisburg, Pa., on Tuesday lost another round in its battle to declare bankruptcy on behalf of the state capital, as the Third Circuit denied its latest attempt to revive its original Chapter 9 filing.
Unable to make payments on $310 million in debt from a disastrous project to revamp the city’s incinerator, a narrow majority of Harrisburg’s city council on Oct. 11 voted in favor of Chapter 9 bankruptcy.
