Law360, New York (May 16, 2012, 5:12 PM ET) -- New York University's Stern School of Business acted appropriately when it declined to award a Master of Business Administration degree to a student convicted for insider trading, the Second Circuit ruled Wednesday.
MBA candidate Ayal Rosenthal had argued that NYU acted arbitrarily and violated an implied contract when it dismissed him for the off-campus crime, but the circuit court disagreed, ruling that the school's policy regarding personal integrity could apply to Rosenthal's criminal activity.
