Law360, New York (June 01, 2012, 10:07 PM ET) -- A class of purchasers accusing a group of sulfuric acid producers of restricting output to keep prices high told the Seventh Circuit on Wednesday that the purchasers shouldn't have to prove the deals harmed competition because output restriction allegations call for a lower antitrust standard.
The plaintiffs had originally sought a per se standard for their case, which alleges a number of sulfuric acid companies agreed to restrict their product output so as not to force an oversupply into a balanced market with predictable price disruption....
