Law360, New York (August 03, 2012, 7:53 PM ET) -- In a ruling by the Third Circuit on Friday, Giant Eagle Markets Co. won its bid to prevent union representatives from contacting employees at a series of non-union grocery stores purchased by the western Pennsylvania company in 2010.
The United Food and Commercial Workers wanted an arbitrator to hear a grievance protesting Giant Eagle’s determination that the union’s collective bargaining agreement did not allow representatives to solicit the newly acquired employees.
