Debt Collectors Can Recoup Costs Despite Law: High Court

Law360, New York (February 26, 2013, 1:51 PM ET) -- The U.S. Supreme Court on Tuesday found a debt collector who prevails in a civil suit can recover litigation costs from the debtor who brought the case, ruling that a provision in the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act is defeated by other federal statutes.
