HSBC Loses Appeal Over Boscov's Credit Cards

Law360, New York (December 01, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- Opening the way for the sale of bankrupt department store chain Boscov’s Inc., a federal judge has affirmed a bankruptcy court’s rejection of financial services conglomerate HSBC’s objection to the deal concerning a store credit card program.

On Nov. 25, the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware affirmed an opinion against HSBC made just four days earlier by a U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware judge, who called the banking giant’s concerns “dubious.”
