Supreme Court Rejects Jailed Fen-Phen Atty's Appeal

Law360, New York (April 20, 2009, 12:00 AM ET) -- The U.S. Supreme Court has declined to hear an appeal from a mass torts attorney who was convicted of conspiracy and fraud and sentenced to more than 6 years in prison for his alleged role in millions of dollars worth of fraudulent claims for fen-phen settlement funds.

The nation's highest court rejected Robert Arledge's petition for certiorari on Monday. Arledge, who was convicted in 2007, is currently serving time at a minimum security federal prison camp in Montgomery, Ala. His conviction was upheld by the U.S....
