FedEx Drivers Are Independent Contractors: DC Circ.

Law360, New York (April 21, 2009, 12:00 AM ET) -- A federal appeals court has handed FedEx Home Delivery Inc. a win in its challenge of a National Labor Relations Board decision that found the company misclassified drivers working out of two Massachusetts distribution centers as independent contractors.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit ruled Tuesday that FHD delivery drivers were rightly classified by the company as independent contractors and not employees, overturning the NLRB decision.
