Insurer Asks To Trim College's Katrina Suit

Law360, New York (May 5, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- RSUI Indemnity Co. has asked a federal judge to shave a number of claims, including one for ensuing loss, from a lawsuit launched by a New Orleans liberal arts college that says it suffered $103 million in Hurricane Katrina-related damage.

The excess insurer took aim at Dillard University's complaint in at least seven motions for partial summary judgment filed on Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana.
