Defense Tees Off On Kodak ERISA Plaintiffs' Counsel

Law360, New York (May 6, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Lawyers defending Eastman Kodak Co. in two consolidated benefits class actions have gone on the offensive, seeking sanctions against their opposing counsel because, they say, he has brought frivolous and duplicative cases against the company.

The blistering motion, filed Tuesday by attorneys from McCarter & English LLP in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, asks Judge Joel A. Pisano to sanction attorney Robert H. Jaffe for bringing the suits in order to keep billing clients.
