Thermo Fisher Sued Over LED Spectroscopy Patent

Law360, New York (May 7, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc.'s NanoDrop 3300 fluorospectrometer — which is used in life sciences and clinical research laboratories — infringes a single patent related to cool white light-emitting diode spectroscopy technology, according to a lawsuit filed by Spectros Corp.

Portola Valley, Calif.-based Spectros filed its complaint in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California on Wednesday, naming Thermo Fisher Scientific as the sole defendant and seeking unspecified damages.
