Execs Sentenced For Marketing Unapproved Devices

Law360, New York (September 15, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Two former executives who sold millions of dollars in faulty sterilization devices that have been blamed for leaving 18 patients blind in one eye have been sentenced to prison time.

U.S. District Judge Ruben Castillo sentenced AbTox Inc.’s former chief executive officer Ross Caputo to 10 years in prison on Wednesday. Robert Riley, who was vice president and chief compliance officer, was sentenced to six years in prison.
