Piracy Software Patent Holder Stole Info: Microsoft

Law360, New York (May 18, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A technology company accusing Dell Inc., Hewlett-Packard Co. and Toshiba American Information Systems Inc. of infringing a patent covering piracy protection software is now facing allegations from Microsoft Corp. that the company's founder stole confidential information from the software giant while he was employed there.

Microsoft filed an amended intervenor complaint in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington on Wednesday, a day before Ancora Technologies Inc. named the software company as a defendant in litigation over U.S. Patent Number 6,411,941.
