Covington Adds Ex-SEC Official, Merrill Lynch Atty

Law360, New York (May 18, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A former chief litigation counsel at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has joined Covington & Burling LLP as a partner in the firm's white collar and securities enforcement and litigation practices, after a stint as head of Merrill Lynch & Co. Inc.'s global regulatory affairs.

David Kornblau, who headed up the SEC's Division of Enforcement from 2000 to 2005, joined Covington's New York office on Monday.
