Stock Options Backdating Scandal Ensnares Amkor

Law360, New York (September 15, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Amkor Technology Inc., a semiconductor packaging company, has become the latest victim in the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s probe into stock options backdating.

The SEC is looking into Amkor’s options-granting practices, and Amkor said on Friday that it expects to restate previous financial statements to correct related accounting errors.
