$20M Suit Against Blue Cross NC Pared Down

Law360, New York (May 19, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A lawsuit that originally accused Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina of violating state and federal antitrust laws and asked for at least $20 million in damages has been pared down to a single tortious interference claim.

Judge Frank D. Whitney of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of North Carolina signed off on an order on Monday dismissing Dr. John Powderly II and Carolina BioOncology Institute's antitrust claims against BCBSNC.
