House Panel Rejects Nuclear Environmental Play

Law360, New York (May 20, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A U.S. congressional committee has voted down an amendment to a massive environmental bill that would have advanced nuclear energy as a tool to fight climate change.

The House Committee on Energy and Commerce began on Monday to mark up a draft climate-change bill that calls for greenhouse gas emissions to be cut 83 percent by 2050.
