Chevron Proxy Fight Grows More Acrimonious

Law360, New York (May 21, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Chevron Corp. has lambasted a shareholder proposal for an environmental and human health protection report, saying it is merely part of a campaign by U.S. trial lawyers to pressure the company to settle an Ecuadorian lawsuit that is seeking $27.3 billion in damages.
