Law360, New York (May 26, 2009, 12:00 AM ET) -- President Obama on Tuesday named Judge Sonia Sotomayor to take Justice David Souter's spot on the U.S. Supreme Court, and aides made it clear he would like the U.S. Senate to confirm her before its August recess on Aug. 7.
