Clifford Chance Readying For Axed-Partner Appeals

Law360, New York (May 27, 2009, 12:00 AM ET) -- Clifford Chance LLP has reportedly created an independent ad hoc committee to field appeals from downsized partners in the wake of what are expected to be substantial global layoffs later this year.

The committee would be in charge of considering appeals until at least July from attorneys cut by management during Clifford Chance's planned global partnership review, according to sources cited by TheLawyer.com.

A spokesman for Clifford Chance would neither confirm nor deny the committee's existence.
