Conn. Bans Bisphenol A In Children's Products

Law360, New York (May 29, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Connecticut has given the green light to implement a ban on bisphenol A in products marketed for the use of children under the age of 3, as a growing number of states are currently considering limitations or prohibitions on the controversial chemical's use.

Public Act Number 09-103, which becomes effective Oct. 1, 2011, was unanimously approved May 23 in a 135-0 vote by the Connecticut State House after the state Senate gave the go-ahead to the legislation earlier in May.
