Law360, New York (June 01, 2009, 12:00 AM ET) -- Law firm layoffs may have slowed down, but many firms have turned to salary cuts as they look for other ways to trim costs and shore up cash while the economy claws its way back from the depths.

Over the past few months, more and more firms have begun exploring salary cuts as the next way to survive the crunch, with nearly two dozen firms instituting some kind of pay reduction, according to Law360 research.
