Workers Seek OK For $1M Deal In Banco Popular Suit

Law360, New York (June 2, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Supervisors and managers of Banco Popular North America have asked a judge to give final approval to a $1.05 million settlement in a proposed class action accusing the bank of failing to pay for overtime and meal breaks.

In a motion filed Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, the plaintiffs said the settlement was reasonable, fair and adequate and that final approval should be granted.
