Ex-Philips Employee Enjoined In Noncompete Dispute

Law360, New York (June 2, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Philips Electronics North America Corp. has won a temporary restraining order against a former employee who allegedly violated a noncompetition agreement when he left the company to work at a rival MP3, iPod and cell phone accessory supplier.

Judge Thomas D. Schroeder of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of North Carolina signed the temporary restraining order Monday, enjoining Jason Hope from rendering services to Riot Outfitters LLC or any other similar company in the U.S.
