Abercrombie FLSA Suit Deal Gets Judge's Blessing
Law360, New York (June 03, 2009, 12:00 AM ET) -- A judge has given preliminary approval to a settlement in a proposed class action brought by loss prevention agents who alleged retailer Abercrombie & Fitch Co. had improperly classified them as exempt from Fair Labor Standards Act overtime requirements.
In an order Tuesday, Judge P. Kevin Castel of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York gave the preliminary OK to the $150,000 deal and scheduled a final hearing for Sept. 10.
