9th Circ. Won't Hear NASA Privacy Case En Banc

Law360, New York (June 05, 2009, 12:00 AM ET) -- A contentious decision that pit the privacy rights of employees at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory against national security will not be heard en banc, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit has said.

The Ninth’s Circuit’s judges voted against an en banc hearing on a preliminary injunction to halt deep-reaching background checks on low-risk employees at JPL, which conducts research for NASA.
