House OKs Paid Parental Leave For Federal Workers

Law360, New York (June 5, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.S. House of Representatives has signed off on a bill that would guarantee federal workers four weeks of paid parental leave after the birth or adoption of a child, a move the bill's sponsors have called necessary to bring the federal government in line with private sector practices.
