House Task Force Votes 10-0 To Impeach Kent

Law360, New York (June 9, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The possibility of impeachment inched closer Tuesday for fallen U.S. District Judge Samuel Kent, with a U.S. House of Representatives panel reportedly voting unanimously to recommend action be taken to remove him from the bench following his conviction on charges of lying about sexually harassing two female assistants in a Texas courthouse.

The House Judiciary Task Force, headed by Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., rendered a 10-0 vote in favor of impeachment in just 20 minutes, the Associated Press reported Tuesday.
