Treasury Appoints TARP Executive Pay Czar

Law360, New York (June 10, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.S. Department of the Treasury has tapped mediator Kenneth R. Feinberg to oversee executive compensation at companies that have received large amounts of bailout cash from the U.S. government, part of the Obama administration's effort to reform pay structures accused of contributing to the financial crisis.

As special master for the Troubled Asset Relief Program executive compensation, Feinberg will have to sign off on the pay for the top 25 employees of each of the seven companies who have taken on the most federal aid,...
