EU Polls IT Firms On Microsoft Antitrust Solutions

Law360, New York (June 10, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The European Commission is reportedly gathering opinions from computer manufacturers and software vendors on what should be done to curb Microsoft Corp.'s dominant position in the Web browser arena if the technology giant is found to have violated European Union antitrust laws.

The EU sent out a questionnaire to interested parties on what could be done to solve the competition problem posed by Microsoft, Dow Jones reported Wednesday, citing people familiar with the matter.
