Milwaukee Judge Scraps Paid Sick-Leave Program

Law360, New York (June 15, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A Milwaukee judge has struck a mandatory citywide paid sick-leave ordinance ratified by voters in a referendum, ruling that the measure, which includes domestic abuse-related time off under its definition of “sick day,” was invalidly enacted and unconstitutional.

Judge Thomas R.
