Ex-Franklin First Loan Officer Wins Cert. In FLSA Suit

Law360, New York (June 17, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal judge has given conditional certification to a collective action alleging Franklin First Financial Ltd. failed to pay minimum wages and overtime compensation to certain loan officers.

Judge Joseph F. Bianco of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York on Tuesday granted a bid by a former Franklin First loan officer to conditionally certify his action claiming the mortgage bank and certain individual defendants violated the Fair Labor Standards Act.
