Insurer Aims To Cap Coverage For Sprint D&O Claims

Law360, New York (June 18, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Excess insurer Old Republic Insurance Co. has lodged counterclaims in a dispute with Sprint Nextel Corp. over coverage for a 2003 securities suit, contending that benefits should be limited to a 2002-2003 policy period because the claims don't stem from activities in earlier years, including a failed merger with MCI WorldCom Inc.
