House Subpoenas Fed Over BofA-Merrill Deal

Law360, New York (June 19, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Oversight and Government Reform has sent out a second subpoena to the Federal Reserve, in an attempt to glean more information about the Bank of America Corp. buyout of Merrill Lynch & Co.

The committee wants more documents that detail closed-door discussions between the Fed, the U.S. Department of the Treasury and Bank of America, it said in a statement released Friday.
