Deals Rumor Mill: Papa John's, ABB, Oi

By Benjamin Horney (August 24, 2018, 4:35 PM EDT) -- Papa John's International Inc. has begun working with Bank of America Corp. and Lazard Ltd. as it attempts to right the ship in the wake of a lawsuit brought by its founder, John Schnatter, according to a report from Reuters on Friday. According to the report, the company is currently reviewing its business and considering options with banks and there are no set plans as of yet. Private equity firms and other companies have expressed interest in a potential Papa John's takeover, the report said. Schnatter resigned from Papa John's last month after reports that he used a racial slur during a conference call in May. A few weeks after his resignation, Schnatter sued the company in Delaware Chancery Court, demanding access to allegedly withheld books and records....
